TLDR; Shy guy with a disability, need tips to overcome this mentally.

Hey guys, I need some advice. I suffer from mild cerebral palsy which affects my walking and posture. I have dealt with it pretty well throughout most of my life.

I do work out. I eat clean. I’m doing very well financially. (The part I’m most proud of) I do have a close group of friends.

However, I can’t seem to have my love life handled. I am 24[M] and have no relationship / sex experience whatsoever. I have no problem socializing with women in general (I have female friends) but I think I have intimacy issues. I can never make a move and be intimate / sexual with a girl. (EVEN IF I KNOW SHE IS INTERESTED)

I feel like every time I want/need to get romantically / sexually close a woman all my insecurities about my body rise and stop me. This gets me friend zoned after a while.

This is really affecting my mental state negatively, I get depressed a lot lately. I’m at a point where I want to tackle this head-on 24/7. (Even consider quitting my job until I get things in order. I know some of you might say it’s a mistake but I’m sick of this, and I’m confident my career will be fine)

I decided to go out by myself a week ago just to approach women and I learned a lot from it. (Basically that I have a lot of work ahead of me)

I only approached twice. (Indirect opener) Things that I noticed:

  1. I felt pretty pathetic going out by myself and not with my friends (like I’m doing something wrong)

  2. Hard time continuing a conversation / keeping eye contact after an opener

  3. Wanted to do a direct opener but didn’t. Felt held back.

Now I didn’t write this post to vent. I need some practical advice. I know most of you will say that I need to approach as much as possible and I will try.

It’s the mental side that I need help with. My head keeps messing with me that I’m not good enough. (especially in clubs since dancing is a little harder for me)

I tried meditating in the past (Never long term though) I also tried therapy a year ago, but I didn’t feel it push me enough.

I really want to overcome this, Appreciate your advice.
