I’m going to be brutally honest. They’re making you insecure. That’s a sure-tell sign that you are the lower SMV person here. Higher SMV men will make fun of lower SMV men for fun, for jokes, or subconsciously and often without ill intent. They feel it’s a joke, but the lower SMV person will get butthurt. You are butthurt, no way around it.

So why compete in a losing fight? Just laugh, and ignore them. If they look, or act the part of an alpha, they will always get attention. Nothing you can do about it. Let them have their shine and work on yourself, feel free to move away from them.
