How do you guys combat ego?

Got rejected recently cuz of my “drug use and life revolving around drugs” (not truly the case, just how I got represented to this plate who was on high alert for this sort of stuff)

I realized I’m not even under oneitis, I’m just butt hurt that I had someone think I’m like that, and have it not be true.
