Whilst on FaceTime with LTR 2 days ago (we usually talk once a day due to quarantine) I got an incoming FaceTime on my laptop from a female friend, who my LTR is already jealous of/thinks likes me. She asked who was calling me, I replied “your best friend” and she replied with the girl’s name and then asked “do you talk to her everyday then?” to which I replied “only recently”. For the rest of the call she was being very distant/absent and then when I asked her to smile, because she looked grumpy, she replied with “why don’t you go and ask (girl’s name) to smile” to which I replied “nah, I only want you to smile” - I thought this was a comfort test. We continued talking for a little longer then I ended the call as I received another call from my best friend who’s birthday it was on that day.

The next day (yesterday) she posts an Instagram story of her in a sports bra/leggings showing off her abs with a little sticker that said “love you from afar” with a love heart. I think this is completely unrelated, but not sure - could be aimed at me given we are in a temporary LDR due to quarantine. I didn’t reply/react to the story. Later that day I called her at the time that we usually FaceTime in the evening, she didn’t pick up and she texted me saying “I’m on the phone with someone else” to which I replied “cool” but she A) didn’t call me back, B) didn’t text me back saying that she’ll call me back tomorrow, if she was going to sleep and C) didn’t text me in the morning saying sorry I fell asleep - all of which she would normally do and has done before.

Is this successful dread? Does this mean that she is pissed off at me about the dread I applied with regard to that girl that she’s jealous of/thinks likes me? I’m not going to initiate any contact/call her and I’m going to wait for her to contact me - is this the correct thing to do? Should I build some comfort when/(if?) she does contact me to balance out the dread/do push & pull?
