Long story short, This morning my LTR got a anonymous letter in her mailbox(We don't live together). The letter says " hey sexy I want to meet you, I think you're fit and would like to get together for a drink. Please wear your sexy leather boots. Call me or text me xxxxxxxx" than left his number at the bottom. My LTR than calls me and informs me that I should call the number and tell this guy off... I saw this as a massive shit test and laughed it off and told her I found it funny but she should definitely take the offer, wear the sexy leathers boots and go on a date with this guy tonight and basically treating it like a shit test. She than gets pissed and says "why ain't you doing anything about it because this is quite frightening to me this guy could of been following me home" I than reply with "This ain't my problem and nor do I care, someone has a crush on you. Ignore it or call the number and deal with it. She than hangs up the phone without saying anything. She calls me back a hour later and tells me she got her dad to call the number instead and didn't need me to call it. I did call the number just to see who is was and it just turned out to be some guy who apparently had no idea what I was talking about and suggested it could be a prank. I told her I called after she called me back

I saw this as a shit test to see how much I'll fight for her(Mate guarding) and I know that's a bad idea.

Have I handled this wrong?
