I need a whole bunch of other eyes on this mystery..........

Here's some brief background. I'm 62, retired, no debt, fit, and divorced 3 times. First marriage was 27 years, second marriage, 7 months, and 7 years for the last. Marriages 1 and 3 blew up because I was beta. Marriage 2 ended because she was a LD rebound and I discovered she was a drunk and banging some guy from her church....I left and filed.

Marriage number 3 ended when she told me that she “Didn't love me anymore” and only married me because she “Didn't think anyone would ever love her again.” Found out a year after the divorce that she had been banging her ex-husband for a year prior to the divorce.

I was so blue pill for so long (face palm) and discovered TRP community after divorce number 3.

My SMV dramatically increased after D3 and soon I was seriously spinning plates w/o any sort've commitments. I traveled solo a lot and re-built my life and threw myself into my new mission.

Then....I met a woman online, not a dating site, and we hit it off. Talked, emailed, texted, Skyped, and after 3 months of this, flew across the country to meet here.

We hiked, I met her family and friends, had sex and part way through the visit she got weird. I left under a strange cloud not knowing what was up. She went dark for a few days and completely controlled all communication from then on. Six weeks later she agreed to come visit me but wouldn't give me a date. She finally bought a ticket and then asked me to be exclusive but wouldn't reciprocate.

I informed my plates that I was going with this one. One of them apparently got real pissed and found her through FB and they talked......about what, I don't know. I didn't know about this.

When I picked her up at the airport, she informed me that she had reserved an AirBnB for the first three nights after I had prepped the house.

We toured the area for three days and she was pretty nasty to me. She told me at one point, that I “Talked too much.”

On day 3, we drove 4 hours to visit some friends of hers and when we got to the hotel to finally sleep together, she picked a fight. Definitely no sex.

I left her there that night and drove home.

She re-connected with me a couple of days later and had borrowed her friends vehicle. She had been drinking bourbon the entire drive back down. We agreed to try it again and spent the next couple of days touring around and sleeping together. The sex was uneventful. When we got back to my house, she informed me that she was going back to her friend's house and left me standing in my yard.

She never stayed in my house one night and I got a brief text telling me she was boarding the plane. She called two days later telling me we weren't a good match.

I “thought” I had maintained frame and didn't backslide into my old beta ways.

She was really cute. Perhaps she was spinning plates herself?
I got over it and moved on back into my life without her but I'm still troubled and I hate mysteries. A friend told me she was alcoholic based on the bourbon in the car.

She was 58 and retired BTW.

I would appreciate any thoughts or possible explanations. I initially attributed it to the pissed off plate that had contacted her but this behavior started months before they even knew each other existed.

Maybe it was just a bad and expensive dream. I did learn a lot from her though.
