I'm kinda confused here, and I want to make sure that I understand it right. The majority of TRP agrees that when you check a girl out and you like her, you approach her to chat her up, right? Because I notice some upvoted posts in the main sub (yesterday, a week ago etc) where they basically say "we don't approach, we barely turn our heads to check a girl out because we're too busy being awesome".

So, I'm trying to get this mixed signal away here and understand: Is the general advice here to approach a girl you like? Aren't we the ones who risk rejection? What's up with the not-so-newcoming bullshitters who claim that approaching is for nerds and it makes you look bad? Did my few months of absence made me lose a few episodes, and now it's better if you carry on being awesome instead of approaching (as if those two are even mutually exclusive)?
