Ok before the pitchforks - here me out.

I’m lifting and have spent a lot of time improving my health/body with ketogenic dieting. I suffered a lot of health issues and I’ve gotten ok results (for example and that). Yeah I could certainly get bigger/more ripped but I’m in better shape.

Anyway I’m not questioning the lifestyle - I’ll lift and keto every day regardless because it has repaired a lot of crappy health problems, and I feel good. Gym is literally a recreation for me - I enjoy that 60-90 minutes of free time.

But my point - does this actually affect SMV?

I am early 30s and I’m in a position in life where I’ve had successes but a couple of failures. I live in an apartment by myself, sort of picking up the scraps if you will - saving money and building myself up again.

I’m in this position where I think girls and people will say ‘Ok he’s 30 he should be earning more than me, have a good career and have himself a house’ etc. I feel embarrassed that I’m not in that position at the moment but I had some issues a few years ago.

Anyway I feel like that’s what’s getting in the way of being looked up to and capable of attracting women - and getting better results in the gym doesn’t really make a difference. If I’m talking to a girl the question inevitably comes up - ‘So what do you do?’ and I just get fucked at this point.

There’s plenty of guys in better shape than me but have nice careers going for themselves - seems like there’s not much value? I could be a bald, pasty ginger that smells but has a good house and career and that dude would have better SMV on balance as long as you had good frame. Is this sort of true?

My goal this year is to increase my savings and work towards a good career - find something I’m good at and really get on a good pathway. Please note this isn’t a whinge I’m just trying to be realistic here - and manage my expectations based on simply physical appearance.

I’m ofc working on frame control and my mindset is everything is awesome - it breaks here and there but I’ll keep going.
