acting forces you to lower your guard in order to show off your emotions. acting itself is an act of confidence. you have to leave you comfort zone like you've never had before.

of course taking classes and you conquering your social fears there will show off in your body and your personality. you can compare it to the first martial arts fight in your life, that will completely change your relationship to physical aggression forever.

on a side note, think about all these bitches there waiting for romeo. most of them have narcisstic personality disorders and will do everything to be "seen", that's why they're there in the first place. also, a lot of them are very good looking. actresses are the sluttiest girls i know and usually have broken relationships with their fathers.
