We hear a lot that girls love assholes. Animalistic guys that do what they want, when they want and don't give a fuck. I guess I see the reason to act this way sometimes. I understand the idea of push and pull.
I find however, what feels good to do (i.e. sleeping with a girl you don't care about, punching some dickhead at college across the table, masturbating, skipping workouts, etc.) often conflict with what my personal moral compass dictates, and also what is best for me.
After I found TRP I became a HUGE asshole, pure Id, but since I've come across stoicism which emphasizes virtue and discipline. And whilst I don't care much for the virtue dictated to my by historical texts, I do see the value of not being a dick for no reason.
My conclusion is that being a dick serves no purpose but to trick people into believing higher value than they are, and I'm wondering if this is the truth. I'm capable of being an asshole now, I'm okay with being the bad guy sometimes, I just don't know when and why I should deploy this 'skill'.
