Hey guys, long time no post.

Anyway, I love my girlfriend. She's great, and we get along well. I'm not one to grow dissatisfied due to a lack of female variety, so don't get into that.

What I would like some help with is this: I sometimes find myself having to parent my girlfriend. I'm not a controlling guy at all, but I often have to direct her to do simple tasks because she simply doesn't remember to or doesn't not want to do those tasks. For example, I may tell her to walk her dog (I walk the dog too, but I shouldn't always do it). If she doesn't want to, she'll get grumpy and pout about it for a while. Telling her what to do makes me feel kinda bad, especially because she mostly has a negative reaction to it.

Just to make sure people understand, I'm not controlling her. I don't tell her what she can and can't do. I simply confront her when she didn't do something she should have done or needs to do something and doesn't seem like she's going to.

Thoughts?
