Welp here I come dick between legs running back

Had my first date. Nothing special really I just really couldnt read her cause of language barrier (english is her second language) and shes quite shy.

Ive come to ask for tips to do better next time and if shyness is just hamstering for IOD.

At the start she seemed a bit shy and later admitted she was startled when i cold approached her. She would move away from me slightly whenever we stopped and i got closer.

Later on she stopped and i tried to kino, holding her hand to look at her ring, hand around the waist and stuff. The waist part was blatant IOD IMO because she slowly would move away.

Though her body language was screaming IOD at me she seemed very interested in talking to me. Halfway through I decided yeah this girl aint for me as I slowly talked less and less while she kept asking questions about me and I just kept replying.

The dialogue was mostly interview, i did make fun with her however a few times where I could be cheeky it would fall flat on its face because she didnt understand the words I was saying.

Near the end I gave up and said alright time to send you home and dropped her off at the bus station.

Still a good experience tho. How can you distinguish shyness from IOD? I was completely stumped and unable to read whether she wasnt interested, just shy or thought this was just a friend hang out?
