A bro is finally considering a gym and asked me how long it'll take, how long he'll be working out a day, how cost effective it'll be to stay longer in gym. He wants to make a sort of time in gym versus gain in attractiveness model to have a good grasp on how he'll manage his time.

Now, I have no idea about how to help him on that. He's in absolute zero, he doesn't even walk to commute, he never did any sports in his life. I'm pretty sure I had better shape than him ever since I was like 9 or 10.

He is:

  • 31 yo;
  • 167cm (five and a half feet);
  • Roughly 60kg (130lb);
  • REALLY skinny, arms aren't much over 20cm (8 inches);
  • Jelly belly;
  • All physical signs of high T a guy can have, that characteristic balding, hairy as fuck;
  • Surprisingly perfect body posture;
  • Is rather taking vitamins than eating greens, fruits are cool though. Probably won't have issues taking on a low carb diet, keto is out of question though.

How long does it take for such a person get in a decent shape? How long a day at the gym?
I guessed 45 to 60 minutes a day, at least four times a week, ideally six, for a year, and some attention to food (probably will need to up protein intake) will put him "in shape", at least on pair with guys that play sports at weekends only. True?
