At work you do your job and you do it well. The hierarchy is in place for a reason. Once you get to the top, you can give orders.

Helping your brother move has nothing to do with frame. If he disrespects you by saying "put that box over there you little faggot cunt," you can say "move your own shit asshole." And that's that.

lol bro your frame at work should be that you take orders cheerfully and complete. there is a time and a place for giving resistance when you know your boss is wrong but that is a delicate issue that sounds above your current level.

this can actually be a challenge. your family will typically always see you as a child. it depends on the relationship you have with your family.

in general terms, don't follow any disrespectful commands. If you feel that he is domineering you then just say "hey bro I'm here to help but if you want me help don't be a dick about it". always have and enforce boundaries.

i think you are confusing "frame" with "dominance".

you cannot maintain dominance at all times. you can only maintain inner dominance at all time (i.e. self composure).

"frame" is basically the outward persona / identity that you project to the world combined with your inner belief in the validity and strength of this identity.

so your identity at work is def not "im da boss bitch" but rather it should be composed, self controlled, dignified, responsible, timely, etc. a military cadet basically.

likewise your frame at home with your family should be "we're family, but I'm a man now. respect me and my boundaries."

Frame is your subjective take on an objective reality.

Regarding your boss, STFU and do what you're told. Most of the time, bosses aren't going to talk rude to you, if they do, some form of eye contact that emits "don't talk to me like that" should work or simply have a private convo about how you don't appreciate the way they're talking to you. This should be done in a respectful manner.

With you're brother, set you're boundaries. Again, I highly doubt he's going to be an ass cause you're helping him out. Know your boundaries and set them and make them clear.

Frame isn't being an asshole all the time.
