I've had HSV2 for a bit over a year now. Its not as bad as it seems, but getting laid won't be as easy as it was. Its tough at first, as theres a pretty bad stigma surrounding it.

Like other users have said, educate your self about it. Next, get a Valtrex prescription.

Since my diagnosis, I don't have one night stands anymore. I'm very selective about the women I date, and usually disclose on the second date. RP game rules still apply, and confidence is key. HSV2 is very controllable, and very easy to protect against transmission once you're aware that you have it. Its important to be proactive, and explain that you are being proactive in handling it. I've found that well educated women are more receptive to it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Do your research. By some studies, 80% of the US populations has HSV2. By the CDC's statistics, over 30% have it, because it's reported. The vast majority of the population don't report HSV2 because, why? Couple bumps, they go away, life goes on. No cure, so why waste time and money. Also worth noting, HSV2 can stay dormant for years to decades, making it impossible to tell who you got it from. It most certainly doesn't show up mere days after exposure. With good health, hygiene, and stress to a minimal, outbreaks will be kept to a minimum, and, after a decade, eventually just stop, as your bodies immunization finally gets a handle on it. This shit isn't the end of the world. I wouldn't say a word. Just cover it up, and go about your business, but please, educate yourself. A minimum of 1 in 4 people have it. MINIMUM.

Now, as others have said.. it isn't the end of the world for you. Just breath. Please, though, be responsible. Take your meds, and inform others. Now is your chance to break the cycle of spreading it. Live well, eat well, boost your immune system and over time your body will be better at handling the virus.

I'm not saying hold on to false hope, but it is interesting to see the literature as far as cures for viruses and vaccines. So, become educated!

Like I said, not the end of the world. Just please be responsible and don't transmit it to others. Would you want them to go through what you are going through? Not to mention the legal ramifications if you knowingly give someone an STI.

Cant you just not disclose your HSV2 status? I really doubt any girl who has it would willingly disclose that information unless you see a clinical symptom and question her about it.
