Hi askTRP! I hope some of you experts here could help me out with understanding what I did wrong in my latest interactions with a girl.

The story starts back in September when I sat beside some girl (it was the only available seat at the front row of my exercise physiology class) in class. We started talking and found out we are from the same country, speak the same language and have similar goals in life. I told her some real life stories I found inspiring upon which I wanted to model myself in real life. I wanted to get her number but held back because: 1. I didn't want it to be awkward if/when she rejected me (as I was certain was bound to happen due to numerous rejections in the past) 2. I was busy with school and did not have time for dating. My hesitation resolved itself when she dropped the class and I thought I wouldn't see her again.

Fast forward to May 9th. My city was holding its second annual Victory day parade and I attended. I was just hanging around and didn't really know anyone, but it was fun just absorbing the atmosphere. Eventually, I got to talking to some flag bearers and suddenly out of the crowd appears the girl that I mentioned previously. It was good to see her again (I considered her my friend at this point), but I wanted to see if I could escalate so I asked her if she wanted to go someplace quiet because I couldn't hear her very well in the crowd.

I took her away from the crowd and forest to the edge of a ravine on a hill. We talked for a bit and I made my move. We started making out heavy and she addmitted that she figured that making out was a possibility. After making out I started escalating but she said she would not take anything off (it made sense because we were not veey far from public/large crowds of people).

For the rest of the day we hung out, only going our seperate ways to have lunch (she wanted to introduce me to her mother, I was not veey keen on that and so found an excuse to eat by myself). As we hung out we explores the Parm where the parade was held and made out and I fondled her mostly.

I had to leave first due to family reasons, so we exchanged numbers and she texted me she had fun that day. We texted for a bit more and ended the convo in a logical place. She sounded like she had fun during our time together.

Here is where the problem I am confused with starts. A few days later I texted her to find out whether she got into the medical school that she mentioned she applied to (it was the day eerybody found out their results) but she took around 12 hours to reply whereas she took minutes before. I did not send her any more texts in that time peropd and figured she lost interest. This was confirmed when I texted her a few days after that asking if she stillwanted to hang out, as we agreed when we last hung out. She took all day to reply then said that 'it' (what it, made no sense to me) was really 'stressful' and asking if we could just be friends. I said I did not want anymore friends and she removed me from FB.

I dont understand why I got friendzoned when I escalated and what I did wrong? I don't take disrespect like taking hours to respond to texts lightly. I consider it courteous to respond as soon as possible with apologies if late.

I had a theory that we 'broke up' because when she said that she had gained some weight over the past year due to studying alot, I agreed and said its best time to workout as summer was starting. Could that have been it?

It has been a few months since that event and I am still being bothered by it. Was hoping to resolve it once and for all by pozting on trp.
