So I stumbled upon TRP a few months back on another sub when a poster was more or less publicly shamed for having posted in a RP related sub. As I do normally with 'new sub' I decided to sort content by highest rated and give it a try. I was pretty impressed by some of the content and some of it fit very well with what my father taught me

Things like:

  • You shouldn't expect someone else to make you happy.
  • There is no such a thing as unconditional love.
  • Always better yourself.
  • Respect is earned.
  • Men and woman are inherently different, they don't desire the same things for the same reason and live their life very differently.
  • Men actually don't get it better than women and too often woman are given free passes simply for being woman.
  • ...

The problem came when I left the top part of the sub, what I found left a bad taste in my mouth. There is a lot of people who seem to think woman are life sucking succubus(some high rated comments too) but being "trash" is not a trait unique to woman... Society is in general made up of shitty, dumb, greedy, ignorant,[...] people and i don't see where sex has anything to do with that.

Guys do try to shit test the same way woman do, man can and do hold hamstering sessions, men feel entitled to a lot of stuff they actually don't deserve. In about 80% of the title that include the word woman, you could replace it by 'people' or 'everyone' and it would probably make it even more true, at least in my eye.

So I would like to know, why is there some kind of unhealthy obsession with woman? Why are more than half the frontpage posted aimed shaming woman for behavior that is also found in man? Why do I see a bunch of "10 ways to get a fuck buddy" & "10 traits girl will always fall for" on the frontpage? Anyone with a respectable IQ knows this is bullshit...

I feel that if TRP was a bit more self conscious and critical of itself it would be something i could 100% rally behind but right now i do see how people can easily mistake this for woman hating
