I would really appreciate feedback on my interactions with this girl I tried to get with. I am coming of a 7 year relationship which was good and all, but she decided to move across the country and I didnt want to go long distance. Now I am trying to get back in the game for the first time but I feel kinda lost and can't get a grasp in the situation I am in. So I am hoping you guys can provide some feedback in this long play by play.

So there is new girl at work (different department) who came in around June. For about 1 month I started realizing she was giving me strong but subtle IOI. As I would walk by her desk, I could feel her eyes on me, watching my every move. And it was clear that I am a pretty popular guy at work as a lot of different people come by to chat about everything and anything, from devs to managers and directors. I am not your biggest guy, but I have an athletic frame from playing competitive soccer and adding 20lbs of muscle to my frame in 2 years. She is pretty damn cute, so 3 weeks ago I started talking to her.

  1. First I asked her if she wanted come with me and a couple of co-workers out for lunch, she declined.

  2. I asked her to do me a favour and to drive me to the mall nearby to get lunch because our cafe food sucked, she accepted and I think we hit it off. On the way back, she started giggling all the time and kept saying, I don't know what I am thinking, I can't think straight and she definitely couldn't drive straight. I assumed maybe she was hoping I would escalate and make a suggestion to go out after work.

  3. A couple of days later after a work barbecue, I asked if she wanted to get food, so we take a walk to a nearby plaza. Again we hit it off getting to know each other a little deeper. I dropped some sexual comments about body and I can feel the vibe growing. I suggest that we leave and and on our way back to work I suggested that we go to my place and hangout so she could try my electric longboard... she declined saying she had more work to do.

  4. I asked her out to a standard bar and grill nearby and this I was little more physcial. I tell her that she needs to ride my longboard to her car and she gives it a go. All the while I am teasing and tickling her. We get to Moxie's and again we hit it off. I noticed while I was there, I was getting alot of IOI's from the other women their and the waitresses. Went it felt like it was time to go I asked her to come over and watch Sully with me. She told me I was bad and she said yes, so we leave. At this moment I feel like I should have tried to be more physical and maybe kiss her, but again, I wasn't used to this anxious feeling. We see another couple making out and my mind was like go... but I held myself back. We drive back and were both nervous and half way through she finally said she just wanted to go home and sleep. I tried a bit to get her to come with me, but she said next week when I come back from my work trip.

  5. So I come back, it was a great work trip, the project I was working on finally worked so I was in a good mood. She started doing that thing were she glances over, as if she was waiting for me to go over and talk. I was busy most of the day so I don't go over to her until late... I tell her stories about the work trip, and all the fun I had and stuff. She asked me what I was doing after work and I told her I was getting a haircut. I also had to go to the hospital to see a granpa like figure since because his days are numbered, but I didn't feel like talkign about it so I didnt say it. She seemed to get annoyed, so I asked her if she was free later this week on Wednesday and Thursday... she said no she had to see her friend and she was getting more busy at work and she said next week. And then she started doing that thing where she starts giggling and acts like she doesn;t know whats going on and what she is doing. At this point, I felt like I didnt push hard enough and she was losing interest so I ended the convo and left.

I feel like I am lost on how to sexual escalate. With my girlfriend it was pretty damn easy and sex was regular with her. Now with new girls it feels awkward.
