Yea it was wierd asf especially when her two wierdo friends were with her
Better to excuse yourself and speak with her later about how group outings aren't your deal. If she wants to spend time with you, she can spend it with you. If she wants to hang out with her friends, she should do that and see you later.
You can tell her it's temporary, you probably wont always want to be alone with her, but at first to get to know her, and to see how your dynamic works and feel each other out.. It just makes sense to spend time with just each other.
Friends bring on this extra dimension, they fight for attention and it just gets messy. Unless you are performing for them, there is really no reason to have them there.
You could go to be entertained by them, but that shouldn't be the goal. The goal is to get to know her and for her to know you.
Friends have known each other a long time, in a friendly way. That's not what we are after are we?
