hm although your comment does not help me in the slightest it's probably true. I just can't help it but I really like the girl and I'm sick of being in the grey zone. I'd rather deal with rejection.

She's no virgin if she's saying things like "I have been manipulated by them in the past". And remember, you were away for 6 months in Australia...
I'd say go for it. It's what you've decided you want and it's good to have a strong conviction.
However, I'd recommend also have side-things going on before any defined relationship comes about. If nothing else, to get a better mentality but also to give you genuine options.
I'm sure she's a lovely girl but there are many lovely girls. Honestly, the world is full of attractive women.
Be on top of your own world. Go for an LTR if it pleases you but also have options.
