This is a weird question, but fuck it.

Say you ran a business, then invited someone to help while you did a little traveling. You left that someone essentially "in charge" of the business while you did some traveling. Upon your return that someone took 80% or your clients and opened their own shop, literally down the street. You essentially cut ties with said person, honestly not giving a fuck what they do, because fuck them. Rebuild your own business.

A few years later, you find out that a business event your about to participate in is partly sponsored by that someone.

1st Choice - My feeling - Participate because I fucking do what I want.

2nd Choice - Fuck that someone, I'm not doing anything having to do with them.

I can see alpha in the second choice, but the first one...not so sure how to stay in frame.
