Hello Gentlemen

I've recently started forcing myself to make eye contact with both men and women and it has massively boosted my self confidence.

However I'm not sure what the etiquette is when you see someone far down a hallway or open area that's walking towards you. Do you keep staring? Look straight ahead and pretend you don't notice them? Look away at other things? Say hello when they get close?

I have no problem with eye contact in a general sense but this completely baffles me and is making me feel rather self conscious.

General eye contact resources are also much appriciated.
