When I was 13, I sat next to my mum, in her car, and she started eating an apple. After a few crunches, I was actually crying.

That's the worst it's gotten, but I regularly get urges to punch people who chew gum beside me. It's also gotten worse, before it was just sounds, but now if I focus on someone's jaw moving I get the urge to punch them. Even if I see a face that looks off, i act spiteful to the person. Never have of course have I actually punched anyone, and I have found ways to distract myself, such as music.

-- I was wondering if anyone here can relate to my situation and give examples of how they deal with these urges, calmly.

I sorta deduced that my brain hates these noises because I am not in control of them, for example I don't get annoyed when I chew gum, and it feels really good when I tell someone to stop doing something and the noise stops.
