Do you have a job, pay your own rent, buy and cook your own groceries, go to the gym every day, and meet girls throughout your day?

It's impossible to answer this based on the two sentences you've provided. If you're 15 and live with your mommy, the answer is age 3 years and move out. If you're 25 and drive yourself to work every day, pay rent, work out, cook dinner, and fuck women, then you're already not "sheltered", whatever you mean by that.
