IIRC, there's research showing willpower is a surprisingly finite thing which is why it's simply better to have discipline and/or build habits.

One word: humility

Accept that your highs are just a stepping stone and that your lows are an opportunity to grow. That most people that you meet can teach you something about them or about yourself. That if you've made it, it's also because you were lucky enough to have the energy and the circumstances to make it.

Push yourself to every possible extreme of breaking and then defy those extremes, that's how.
