Kind of a long ass rant, but bear with me.

Brief intro: I see a therapist to treat a phobia I have, acrophobia. She's an elder female. And honestly, since swallowing the red pill I am wondering how much longer I should be seeing a female therapist. So today she was discussing my "dating issues." They come up off and on. Before you ask wtf does that shit have to do with acrophobia, the style of therapy we're using addresses the whole person, not just the specific phobia. (Cognitive behavioral therapy and psycho-dynamic therapy.)

I'm kind of at a point where I want to cross off the whole "dating issue" thing off her list of shit to talk about. I'm assuming since I'm red pill and she's blue pill, she's not in a position to give me any useful advice. Today she brought up "mother issues" as a reason I have problems with women. I was like, "Well, I think it's A LOT more than just my mother." Personally, I think societal myths about women and being of a blue pill mindset all my life is where my issues with women come from. Sure, my mother was a part of that. Matter of fact, my parents have the most Disneyesque looking marriage ever. Hell, I believed that they married as virgins and never cheated. I later found that my dad did some "fooling around" before marriage, but that's it. If he cheated during the marriage, I never knew. I think my mom was probably a virgin at marriage. They married at age 20 and they are still married in their 70's. That's FIFTY years of marriage.

All I can think of off the top of my head about my "mommy issues" is that I've always been a guy that has had to help keep my mother in a reasonably good mood. "Don't upset your mother." I guess she was the codependent counterpart to my dad's narcissism. And so I suppose I have an oversized filter and sense of self-censorship which has made me BETA as fuck. Which I guess is an issue, but I don't see it as some kind of mammoth sized thing I can't get around.

If anything, my "sister issues" may be more negative than my "mommy issues." Turns out my sister is a real bitch and probably fucked up my head more than I knew. "Don't be a typical guy" she used to say. Ok, I'll be nice as shit. Which made me BETA as fuck.

So if I have "mommy issues" it's not just her fault, it's also my dad's fault. For all I ever knew, my immediate family is the perfect blue pill family and it's kind of my dad's narcissism that kept it in line that way. How romantic.

Long story short, I guess I know my family is crazy and they've skewed me this way or that way, but the entire damn world is crazy. Every bitch on OkCupid and Match.com is a crazy unrealistic bitch taking blue pills. What's amazing to me is I've got a well honed sense of ALL the Disney shit they claim to be after and ZERO of those cunts will touch me with a 100 foot pole. Seems to me the "mommy issues" I have effect me mostly by painting a damn convincing picture that the blue pill world is the reality. Like I should be surrounded by OkCupid bitches every day because I'm BETA AS FUCK. Hell I should be getting gangscrewed by OkCupid bitches every night because of my slick BETA male assets. Thanks for the Disney fantasy, ma and pa!

So I blame my "daddy issues" more because I feel my dad kind of set me up to be kind of a loser. He's a rich motherfucker but I've been on the low end of the economic totem pole for most of my life. I'm 40 now and I ain't no "provider." I have ZERO of the natural power hypergamy will compete for. What did dear 'ol dad do? Unempower me and pull the rug out from under me as it suited him. I digress.

But have you redpillians thought about mainstream psychological thought? How does TRP effect your understanding of therapy? And before you totally knock psychology and therapy out of the water, if it wasn't for my therapist, I may never have found TRP. It was my therapist who suggested I look into some men's groups. I got bold and went to /r/mensrights, /r/seduction, and then /r/TheRedPill. Hell, even /r/mgtow.

TL,DR; Have you redpillians thought about mainstream psychological thought?
