Money is kind of a masculine currency in that it is purely about action, power, and success. It accomplishes things, controls things, and rewards successful behaviors. I won't disagree that there is such a thing as emotional effort or labor, but I don't think it's something that can be compensated with money. Nor do I think nor money can necessarily buy it. Furthermore, if you were to start paying people for emotional support, I think it would destroy what tenuous emotional connection is left be…

This is true. The "just world fallacy" was interesting to read about, and really I don't think it was discussed as deeply as it could have been on wikipedia, because the idea underpins a lot of philosophies and religions. You make a good point that even if it does not apply at an individual level, it may very well be more applicable at a global level. It's something to keep in mind.

I recently found a few papers on it, and it appears that depression actually physically damages your brain and can be diagnosed via brain scans: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3100220/ https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2213158213001162?np=y Bottom like is I think that you have to deal with the depression head-on to avoid brain damage. Furthermore, lifting is one of the few things shown to cause neuron growth. See this article.

There are a lot of things that are out of your control, for example if you get into an accident, get cancer, get laid off and can't get work in your field, those things can knock you off your edge. And really that's why I think the dark triad is so rare and sought-after. In gay, bsdm, and strait situations they're universally rare and in demand, but it's a double-edge sword because they are abandoned when something happens to them. It's like the opposite of women who have a social support net fo…

I don't understand why you believe RP knowledge is "too good to be true". The basic premise is that women will never really love you for who you are, and you have to go out and earn respect every single day. The traditional falling in love scenario sounds much more like what guys (and women) want to hear.

The only thing I can think of is to find some local foreign clubs, perhaps you could find a Russian one (I think Seattle has a sizable population of them). There you can probably find some bros who have some type of cultural training on how to be masculine. From there hopefully you can find other like-minded guys who aren't of that ethnicity. I know this advice is pathetic, but it's the best I've got. This is how bad our culture has gotten. There are manginas EVERYWHERE. I too would like to hear…

Great post, and even more than that, it's a great perspective to take and think about. I recently saw a typical tumblr post getting liked on facebook, posted by a female and upvoted by all her friends. Overall, it pretty was benign and the type of thing you ignore. But being ever observant however, I was watching who was liking it. 19 women and 1 guy liked it. lol, who is this guy? I browse to his profile and see he studies women, gender, and sexuality at a university. I guess that answers that …

I think one of the mods hates us and is just cleaning up the thread so no one comes across mention of us through searches in the future. Guy here. I think it could be one of two things. Either he has lost attraction to you, or as someone else mentioned has some type of anxiety, or both. I can envision a situation where the woman is sexually active/assertive, and that is both a turnoff and causes anxiety. The reason is that a more sexually active woman will naturally want the most dominate man. That puts him on the spot and means that at some level, in order for him to even get it up and mate with you, he has to be psychologically…

Thank you, this is exactly what it's about. As an abstract concept, it is supposed to be reality, an explanation of cause and effect - nothing more, and nothing less. What someone chooses to do with that information is up to them. Any individual's post will in practice have a bias one way or the other toward what they personally feel "should be done", but that's all just personal opinion which is inherent in any open discussion. I think the OP is unintentionally concern trolling. Usually a good …

Your post would be appropriate if he was suffering from depression, but I get the feeling that is not his problem. His issue is primarily that he recognizes specific flaws in his personality and would like information on how to fix them. In my opinion, the last part of his post shows that he's not self deluded into thinking this an easy process. That's part of taking the red pill. I think he's mature and on the right track. This all started a few months into us dating. We would be getting intimate and I would notice hair on her legs (she shaved when we were first hooking up). No big deal, I know it's can be annoying and I don't expect them to be silky smooth all the time. But I would say something jokingly, implying that I prefer shaved over not shaved. She would shave for me, but be sure to let me know that she doesn't like doing it and it's because women should do what they want with their bodies. Next.

I've always despised men who spin plates, but I might start An alpha does things for himself, because he wants to. If you don't want to spin plates, then don't. And don't ever let others dictate what you do or how you feel. You may not be spinning plates, but that doesn't mean you're letting anyone freeload off of you because you're hesitant to walk at any point in time. Nor are you lacking in any relationship if you so desire one.

I agree with /u/youcantdenythat, and furthermore, the extra attention won't count for much unless you also have good alpha traits. Getting an alpha's attention and care for free will cause them to have more self respect. An alpha respects himself, and those around him respect him also. When he transfers that through time and attention to someone else, she will by extension perceive herself in that way.

Mating/fucking is an inherently selfish behavior. Both parties are playing the game and trying to get their own genes propagated into the future with the highest probability of success as possible. Bonding though, as most commonly seen between parents and children, is a different behavior. It is designed to help the other person unselfishly. A relationship between a man and woman is a combination of these two things: mating and bonding. Two behavior programs built into our brains. After a period…

A lot of truth is like this. Going out and evangelizing people is useless, and in fact it causes them to misunderstand what you tell them, and then to spread misinformation. Then you get exactly the opposite reaction than what you intended. Instead, never teach someone unless they first ask a question. This is actually the first "rule" in satanism: "Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked." Not that I'm a satanist, but this is just a basic description of how things work. ♂

Notice the implicit assumption that the two scenarios (divorce or staying together) should have equal outcomes. Where in the world did that come from? Of course if you choose to have kids, and you choose to sacrifice your career, and you choose to divorce your husband, those chain of events will indeed fuck your life up, as it should. They're your own choices and the only fair and equal outcome is for you to take sole responsibility for them. However, as it stands now there are laws and preceden…

Language is a higher-brain function which is lost on modern society. Most words people speak are indeed noise - unimportant, rambling, and pointless. They usually serve to convey the emotional state of the individual, create territorial understanding, or establish friend-or-foe status. Instead of obediently doing what we're told as society teaches us from a young age, we need to think and then respond based on our own critical thinking and analysis. When we do this, our words will have force and…

I need The Red Pill because I need honesty in my life. This is the reason right here. Personally, I found this sub one day by repeatedly clicking the random subreddit link looking for something interesting. I agree, it does make sense in this case. If we completely ignore the women's tournament, then we have just a general tournament open to anyone and based on skill. The existence of the women's tournament is hopefully because there is a market of people who like watching the girls compete even if the skill level isn't that high. Which is fine, as long as there are sponsors and fans so that it's supporting itself. It's no different than foreign-only tournaments which exclude Koreans. One reason I …

What they try to accomplish is to support and cultivate men who can take care of both themselves and their partners, and lead the relationship in the right direction. The red pill is about facing reality. Seeing the truth without illusions. That's what it is in it's entirety, nothing more. The response to that realization is very similar for many people however, and hence these responses are typically mistaken by outsiders and newcomers as being the red pill itself. It is closely related but not the same. The hard truth is that each of us really has two options: (1) we can roll over, emotionally implode, and die, and nature will not give a single fuck or drop…

A very good point you mentioned is, that TRP doesn't purely consist of self improvement, but rather of building value in your life to get all the things you want. TRP is really about truth. No more, no less. It is a philosophy where truth is desired more than comfortable illusions. Beyond that, it is true to say that many who swallow the pill choose self-improvement as a goal. But that is an individual choice and not a requirement.

The destruction of traditional families and morals have indeed been accelerated intentionally. But this is only natural: ignorant and isolated cultures were easy targets for the more advanced and predatory cultures. If we are all made to be worker bees and no one has a father and therefore don't understand anything about the world, then that benefits the few who do have history, knowledge, and control. But this was inevitable, and temporary. It's hormesis on humanity overall, which will cause us…

Saying that we all compromise a little bit and look at things from a different perspective feels good, but that's not any different than any other relationship advice. Romance never really was a wide-spread thing put into practice by everyday people. It's always been RP between men and women. Romance was an ideal. An ideal with very specific conditions, where female honor and chastity was valued above all other things, and serves as the very foundation for the romantic love. It was a formula. Pe…

I really hate how words like sexism have been hijacked. It should simply mean making a distinction based on sex, which itself is not inherently good or bad. That is NOT the same thing as misogyny, prejudice, or bigotry, which are all inherently negative things. The word "discrimination" is also unnecessarily charged, it can and more often should mean to simply understand that one thing is different than another. So fuck it. I don't blame her if she can't or won't fulfill this role. Ultimately, people need to understand and deal with their own problems. If he can figure out what's wrong with himself then he can at least specifically find a mate who can help him fix it. I have a theory about men who have issues like this. I don't think he ever fully sexually matured into an adult, probably because his parents weren't able to fully complete the task (perhaps due to their own issues). In this case I think it's mommy issues. He never felt enough security to be able to go out and compete with others. He can't handle taking action and being responsible for those actions. He can't bring himself to fuck a girl because then he's competing with every other guy who fucks…

I'd guess that you are exhibiting traits which your father lacks and this makes their own relationship uncomfortable. Even though they're your parents, when it comes to mating everyone is ultimately on the same playing field. And what I mean by that is all adults are on the same playing field regardless of age, income, etc, so I can definitely see them feeling uncomfortable in certain situations. "Frame" is short for "Reference frame". A reference frame is a stable and reliable point of reference from which to observe or experience the world. Something that is secure and unchanging, even as the environment around it is uncertain and in continuous flux. Fundamentally, what gives a person frame is not an interpersonal skill-set such as appearing calm, which is just a natural consequence of frame. What allows someone to maintain frame in an uncertain world is by aquiring power over one's en…

Does she have a man? It sounds like she probably doesn't and it's a self-reinforcing feedback loop. No male attention -> act bitchy -> drives men away, less attention -> acts bitchier That's the problem, see if you can get her some male attention to fix it. If she's overweight that could be another symption from lack of male attention that causes a similar feedback loop - overeating from anxiety from lack of any male attention. I agree with everything except the masterbation part. It's really just a bandaid that hides other issues; it's not a long-term solution. In the best situation it's something you would never do, but I guess if it's between masterbating and getting involved with an ex, you go with the lesser of two evils (but really that's a false choice).

I can relate to TRP quite a lot guys, but some theories don't have much to stand on, in my opinion, and others can require a bit more. It's based on abductive reasoning. Many observations have been made over time (field reports), and TRP is simply the best explanation that fits the data. I think men are "positive" and women are "negative". When a man says something, it's what he means, when he reasons he can discover the causes for issues he has. On the other hand, women say the opposite of what they mean, they really want the opposite of what they think they want. Their reasoning doesn't really use reason. Notice in TBP that they typically reflect what we write but switch everything around. Like, they'll take a post or paragraph and just reverse everything in it, or they'll exa…

Maybe carry around a little pocket calendar or notebook with a bunch of notes written in it, and when you come up with a tentative time to meet again, whip it out like you need to double or triple check that you're actually available. Then, when they say "maybe", just say there are no guarantees you won't be booked, the notebook has a mind of it's own and if you don't write it down then she doesn't have a spot reserved.

Looks like guys trying to enforce monogamy in their social group by trying to shame her. It doesn't work though because their social group is relatively small compared to the society it is immersed in. In a muslim country however, it would be a different story, and the tactic would probably work.

I want to point out an important fact that people just don't seem to get. The science is in the observations, it's the data from going out, doing experiments, and recording the results (field reports). All of the explanations such as comparing primates to humans, explaining how women think, evolutionary aspects of male and female behavior, all of these are simply hypotheses to explain the data. They aren't proven, and indeed, we base nothing on them. They are only a conceptual aid to help determ…

One thing I'd like to say in response to his comment, which I won't do because we're quarantined, is say that many of us here are 'disgusted' with these things as well. I think what we really want is empathy. The silence between two guys isn't about letting the guy's brain process things in peace and quiet, it's about the other guy feeling and understanding what the first guy just described. If women can't empathize then it's understandable, but at the very least they shouldn't exasperate the fact that they can't. For example, constant talking, more than anything, shows they don't feel anything and instead are trying to provide superficial help in the form of a…

Why don't women come to try and understand how evolutionary forces caused them to react in certain ways to alpha and beta men? Why don't they realize that they are attracted to the men who will lie and cheat on them because their primal brains are telling them these are the best mates, and then choose differently? Why can't they learn, as men who have taken the red pill have, to fight against their own self-defeating behaviors and learn to how to live in a world where the urges of their primal b…

Personally, I view it like I view scientific theories. TRP is like Newtonian physics. It basically describes the observable world around us and is perfectly correct in the world we have experience in. That doesn't mean it is valid when we start to zoom in and observe very fine things like atoms and particles, or very large things like galaxies. It is no longer valid and instead it is only one part something larger and perhaps not fully explored. Indeed, there is potential for breakthroughs which…

What is more admirable than self improvement, getting out of an unhealthy situation, and making things better? Marriage is a legal term, and there are many legitimate reasons not to involve the state in your personal relationships. Humans aren't government property, and we don't need permission from the state to have relationships, families, and commitments to those we love. I've thought about mainstream psychological though, and I think many of us have. I agree that coercing your beliefs in a controlling manner wouldn't be an alpha trait. He could try to philosophically or intellectually change your mind about it perhaps, but having your beliefs outright controlled isn't something you should expect or put up with, it isn't alpha. On the second issue, as a male who is particularly sensitive about high/any partner count, what happened/was let happen seems to have absolutely zero effect on my psychology.
