You can't really use games and movies to your advantage, that are not personality traits. I'm not even going to be someone that tells you to stop playing them, personally I love video games and see nothing wrong with them in moderation. Don't portray a typical gamer on the outside, don't wear any gaming related clothing, be hygienic, be active and get in shape some way. Personally I would try to develop one additional hobby, I play guitar and scuba dive/kayak when I can.
But to be truthful, no girl, even girls who like video games will ever be impressed or even care about your hobby. I have this cute friend who plays a lot of Nintendo 3DS and even she only likes skinny indie guys with tattoos, that's not the physical image TRP portrays, but I guarantee she's not attracted to any random guy that knows more about Pokemon than she does.
I'm not here to flame you or anything, just keep improving yourself in other ways, you don't have to get rid of gaming if you're looking for a girlfriend. You can probably find one that likes games too, but don't make that all you are about, be more well rounded.

Thank you for your response. And I meant that I do exercise and shower. I do non-gaming activities like volunteering and basketball. I do not wear gaming shirts. Also, I don't mention video games unless asked and/or she mentions interest in gaming. I play in moderation, and am not a complete addict.

Only twice were women genuinuely interested in my gaming talent.
It was cause it was a consistant cocky asshole who had the skills to back it up playing Halo with her and her LTR. Which eventually lead to an affair.
When I was leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else at guitar hero at a end of year ultimate Frisbee post tourney party where I played in front of a crowd of 60 people.
In both cases it wasn't the ability to play the game which resulted in positive attention. It was either the attitude I projected or the act of performance far and above those around me.
While it's entirely possible to use any talent to display your value in general playing video games well is very difficult use effectively.
There are far better options in terms of performance which don't have a stigma attached to it. For example playing an actual guitar or even juggling has a much more general appeal.
Likely no woman cares about your ability to play any game which is non competitive.
Recently, I have played dead by daylight in front of my current LTR and playing the role of the survivor has her on edge and responding with involuntary kino you commonly experience when watching any movie in the horror genre. She once grab my leg so hard she left nail marks in my calf.

You can't .
Be the attractive guy, then ice / top the cake with nerdiness.
Nerd = null. "I like nerds" = hamstering , "Look honey I'm not like other girls."
