I’ve gotten better at holding frame but I lost it a few weeks ago.

I’m a brown dude born and living in the US. I went to Germany a few weeks and got tickets to a bundesliga game. (Germany’s soccer league)

I get in line to buy food, I ask the people in front of me if they’re in line. All white blondes in their 20s. One looks at me at says “it’s not halal and they all start laughing and some guy next to me also laughed. I laughed too. I don’t know why. Maybe to cope? Maybe it was me holding frame intentionally? Idk why but I laughed.

My friend looks and me and laughs too and says “your kinds not welcome here boy” in a very stereotypical redneck voice. Me and him have a friendship where we constantly just say racist shit to each other. But it pissed me off that he laughed about other people being racist for real. It brought me back to racism I had to deal with when I was a kid and was too beta to do anything back the .

It kind of ruined the game for me and I was visibly salty for a good while.

I’m disappointed in myself for losing frame. I guess racism is still sensitive to me. What should I do to hold frame and not give a fuck in these situations? How should I react to those people?
