How long can plates last?

I've had one consistent plate for almost 2 years now. We both fuck other people so I don't consider her a true plate that I'm actually spinning but rather a true "friends with benefits" any time either of us is having a bad week or something we hit each other up, grab some food, maybe a movie and fuck like animals. She's a good kid, love her to death.

However. A true plate that you own, id say max you WANT it to last is 3 months.

The avg plate for me is 3 to 6 months.

The longest "and my favorite, she gets most of what you would probably recognize as girlfriend benefits" is 6 years. At this point it would be fair to call it a one way open ltr. (I Fuck who I want but she acts as a classical conservative wife for me. To be fair she knows she's my favorite.)

The thing about spinning is you know they'll break, so keep milling and vetting for new ones. If you find a very compatible plate a year or two is completely possible and reasonable as long as you stay sharp.
