My roommate was hanging out with some of her friends, and I stopped to say hi for a bit. after they left I text her and said "Natalie is the future mother of my children"

She replied with "this is natalie. We can make that happen."

I ended up going with "sounds like a date. What's your number?"

No reply. I was debating being a little more playful but I texted a friend and he said since she was being so upfront I should too (not gonna listen to him again lol.)

How should I have gone about this? Just been more subtle/playful?
