Whenever I'm on a date, I seem to activate boring mode where I end up saying predictable and uninteresting things. I read this pick up opener about planning a bank heist, which probably doesn't work, but it got me thinking about steering conversations in a less boring direction than say, for example, talking about my (uninteresting) job.

I know some people are going to say, "Live a more interesting life"... but I need to fake it 'till I make it for now. What are are some interesting, but simple things that you can do or say on a date to be less predictable?
