There's a new prospect who's started working as a receptionist at the business I will be interning this summer. I have seen her 2 times since she got hired because I show up once per week to volunteer.

She's been openly checking me out, and a couple of my friends here have pointed it out. So I initiated dialogue, she was receptive. I left feeling good about it.

Today, I just encountered her again, and I think I may have come off too alpha/disagreeable. Let me know what you think of this exchange.

Me: Walks in "Wassup"

Her: "Oh heyyy newflame97"

I go in, clock in, and go right up and say "So you ready to hook me up with that candy"? (They have candy at the front desk)

Her: Hehe well are you gonna pay this time?

Me: I go up, grab a candy stick, and smack her on the shoulder with it lightly and sit down next to her.

Her: Heyy

Me: "Okay whoa that smells like shit, what is that? (Something smelled like some Curry)

Her: That's my chicken! You don't like chicken?

Me: "I love chicken, but that is like some Indian shit haha"

Don't remember what she said then. Probably something dumb.

As I'm ready to leave to do my assignment, I'm gonna pay the 50 cents for the candy.

Me: "Hey where should I leave this"

Her: "Oh you can just give it to me"

I hold the money up high, she holds her hand low to catch it. I drop the two quarters, she drops both.

Me "Haha you suck at catching"

Her "Noo it was a bad drop!"

I leave, end of exchange.

Overall, what do you make of this/how can I escalate properly. Like I said before, I have a hunch that I came on a bit too aggressive. Let me know what you guys think
