I’ve tried posting to reddit jobs and a few other mainstream subreddits, no one ever replies there.

I’m a college student (economics) in my second year of my degree currently applying for internships for my placement year. I’ve never been employed before, and I really don’t have any redeeming qualities for my CV outside of my sporting and academic background, I’ve been rejected by every application I’ve sent out so far and I’m wondering if you guys have any tips. I’m applying to everything from banks, marketing, HR, etc

If I don’t get a placement year I’m basically screwed. Most people in my year get one and when I come to graduate, I’ll be one of the very few economic graduates without any work experience, in an already competitive field, the chances of me getting a grad job will be next to none, regardless of my grade.
