For years, I'd been shifting my personality and likes to fit the crowd I've been placed in. I did that all through middle school and most of highschool. I finally decided to be myself last year and in doing so, made 3 of the most quality friends I've ever had. Now, I'm generally a really goofy, class clown, weird, guy. But, I can be really serious with people and I've had people say, "it's weird how you can switch so suddenly". I have no problem being this way with people I know. Because, I know they dont care and I'm being true to myself. Yet, here's where the problem comes in.
A lot of girls really enjoy who I am. But, there's still those who don't. I can easily talk to those girls seriously. They like it, it goes good, everything's solid. But, what usually happens is, I feel like I'm being fake to myself and go back to being who I am. Then, they disappear/fade off. I've mastered the balance between the two. But, I can't master just being the one serious side.
Now, I know someone will probably say, "fuck those other girls, just be yourself around the ones that do give something back". However, I feel like being able to be entirely serious would also help in the business world(my soon-to-be major) and with the girls that arent humorous or funny.
How do I maintain myself around that crowd of girls or, in general, people?
