Just think of it like.. Push is exciting, pull is comfort. You have to have both.

Just a genuine compliment once in a while, or do push pull compliments.

"You have nice eyes... Third nicest I've seen today."

I'm sure you know it's less about what you say than what you do. Try doing push pull with body language.

Turn away from her and pretend like you're walking away to tease her.

When she does the same to you, laugh and pull her close.
