A mature couple of adults would not be so stand-offish to each other after a breakup except for the most immediate time when it's understandable you want out of each others' heads. Also: you could find yet another girl but how many do you need to juggle? Juggling girls takes logistics, time, risk (girl at work, is at work). Don't you have other things to occupy your time, mind & emotions?

Fair enough. I know a guy who picked up at the last place I worked. Eventually he got fired.

He pulled at least 2 girls out of every new group that got hired & became a supervisor (he was hired when I was, saw this progress over 2 years).

He got fired for having too many sick days.

He was the most purest alpha I've seen in a long time, and ever in a work-place, and he never got any shit whatsoever for picking up girls at work.

It's a rule people follow because of risk & also partly because of having lesser-game so women could react in a power-hungry "fuck your life up / fuck your shit up" kind of way but few will do this if you're a mature, leading alpha.
