Apart from running game, lifting is the #1 thing you can do to better yourself and get better results from life. No arguments.

Seeing myself for the rationalizing bastard I am, I still have not been able to start with a lifting program so far. Too much thinking and bad finances to blame for it.

So far, eating clean and meditation are the only areas I have made much progress along with intermittent fasting once a week. This has led me to decent weight loss and overall wellbeing. Still skinny fat, but much leaner.

FYI, I am 25 years old, stand 6 ft tall and weigh 145-150 lbs. Body fat is around 15-16%.

Last time I had my blood work in March, my total testosterone levels were pretty high i.e. 1250-1300 ng/dL.

How can I start lifting with a program like 5x5 with a clean bulk diet and deal with progressive overload while making sure I don't hit plateaus?
