Lately I've been noticing that when I am in a remotely stressful situation, I tend to think up some bullshit negative hypothetical situation that 'could' happen and I keep dwelling on it.

For example before I go on a date with a girl I would think about a situation where I fuck up the greeting kiss, and I dwell on it for a while until I catch myself doing it. Even though I know how to handle a fucking greeting perfectly fine. And even if I would fuck up I would know how to play it off perfectly fine as well.

I keep having these negative visualizations and I have no fucking clue why. It's not like I'm a shy little bitch, I know I can handle stressful situations well and I'm confident. I feel like these visualizations are a leftover from my beta days.

Is it possible to learn to change these visualizations to positive ones? Or to just stop having these thoughts?
