Met a prospect last night under unclear terms (were we just meeting, was it a date, unclear - but it was clear that she was interested in seeing me again after our first meeting)

While the conversation started off casual, as the wine flowed turned into more and more of a date. Date ended up being about 6 hours long. She told me she found me attractive etc etc. I went in for the kiss and we ended the evening making out.

She tells me that she has to be honest and that she just started seeing this other guy (maybe a few weeks if I had to guess) and now she's complicating something that could be good for her yada yada.

Question is, how do I beat out this other guy?

My instinct is to disappear for a day or so and then tell her I want to see her again, but I'm not sure if absence will make the heart grow fonder or allow the other guy to make headway.
