I'm in university right now and I've done a fair amount of partying and socializing in my life. I find that socializing almost always seems very fake and vapid. The things people talk about are shallow. I thought that at university there would be a lot of intelligent people wanting to make intelligent conversation, but that is not the case.

I find socializing to be incredibly draining, and I never really want to do it. When I'm talking to someone, I just get kind of irritated and want to leave. I find it really hard to make small talk. I don't feel lonely and the only time I really feel fulfilled is when I accomplish something on my own. When I think of the best version of myself, he isn't some party frat boy who charms everyone, but someone who is totally detached from all that shit. A lone wolf I guess.

Is this a healthy mindset to have? Should I force myself to enjoy socializing?
