My girlfriends family sometimes leaves their door open overnight for their son to come home at night if he forgets his key.This naturally makes my gf worry about intruders.

So i slept over last night and her brother didnt bring his keys meaning the door was unlocked for him through out the night.

She said "i always wished you were here when the doors unlocked because i know you will do whatever it takes to protect me. But now that you are here i am still worried because of your own safety i dont want you to get hurt because i care about your well being alot."

I dont know what to think of this comment? She was genuine when she said it but i kind of feel like a pussy. Im not your 6 foot gorilla alpha, im 5'7 average body (working on my physique) and have a baby face. Am i overthinking this? Id also like to add that her father is home as well and hes a huge ripped dude.
