I met this girl back in june in a fundraiser event. I am a 26 y/o fireman and she is a 21 y/o police cadet and does loads of crossfit. We got along pretty well and then exchanged numbers. It was difficult to set up a date because she works a lot but a few days later, we went to take a drink at a bar. It went well and as I leaned for a kiss, she said it's a bit too soon and she hopes we will still talk.

For me, she rejected me and I moved along. She contacted me via messenger in mid august to ask if I will be present at another fundraiser. I just read and never replied.

Last week, I was so horny and bored that I messaged her again, asking how she is doing and if she was accepted at the police academy. She immedietly replies saying she's doing well and wanted to date soon. She loves rock climbing so we went there a few days later. The date went really well and as she was about to get in her car, I said: "So not even a hug?", she came back kissed me on my cheek and went straight for my lips. We kissed for a while and then parted ways.

I talked to her via messenger but very briefly, mostly exchanging our snapchat and send some pictures. Last friday, I asked her if she was free, I wanted to call her. She was working on her night shift and said she will go out with colleagues but will try to call me. She never did but the following morning, she appologized, saying it was late and didn't want to be impolite by calling me. I said ok and went silent the whole saturday.

On sunday morning, I asked her if she was free. She said she will go hike with her sister and will also eat with her later so she will be busy all day. She will go on vacation in the western part of Canada on october 3rd till the 8th. On monday, I asked her if she was free this week in order to do hot yoga. She said she won't be available at all because she has to work extra since she was about to quit her job. I wrote: "Well I would have loved to see each other before you leave". She "read", no response. Later at night, I asked her : "I would have prefered to say this face to face but what are we? I want to know if the interest is mutual?". She "reads", no response. Wednesday night, I write her: I just want to know if I said or acted in a way that was inappropriate? I want to get to know you, that's why I wanted to meet you again". She "reads", no response.

I get it, I failed and won't contact her again but wtf? Do girls kiss just for the heck of it? Like, she never had any interest? Why did she accept dating me again after I ghosted her and didn't talk for 2 months?
