Calisthenic physical activity? Check. Weights? Check. Body fat percentage? working on it. Programming course in progress. Reading no more mr. nice guy? In progress.

And then I play 1 game of Overwatch pubs to relax. I'm with people I've previously been matched with, everyone's in voice comms except me. Australian guy gets matched with us and speaks in that Australian accent. The girls are instantly attracted. He flirts framing byebye 'bb' is an abbreviation for baby, and gets a kiss blown at him over voice comms.

It's not unexpected, girls love foreign guys with sexy accents and sexy voices. I should know this and it still feels really disheartening to work so hard and still get wrecked.

(If you're an Australian with a sexy accent go ahead and gloat, make everyone who doesn't have it hate you. Regardless, I can't fault you for having an edge over the rest of us.)

After the internal outcry of how I wasn't born with a foreign accent subsided, the first solution my brain jumped to was 'Which foreign accents should I start learning?'

It just feels like if I keep doing this there's never going to be an end to it. No more Mr. Nice Guy also warns about the dangers of trying again and again using a flawed childhood roadmap.

So that's where this topic comes in.

1) I know if I do nothing and stick to only what I'm working toward, I will always lose in a matchup compared to a person with a sexy accent.

2) I know if I continue on this path of endlessly chasing down things women find attractive, I will never actually get started on picking them up. I'll be following my childhood roadmap to failure.

It's a catch-22. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. I need a different path to take or a different option to make. The thing is, what?
