Most women can't get a relationship with a high SMV guy, but they still want affection and love. Younger girls don't even know what being with a high value guy is like so they "settle" (they don't really know they're settling, like a color exists they've never seen). Older women have tried and failed 100x and they just know it doesn't work. Some get lucky and get to be live ins. Some women don't need that much dominance, but they're few and far between.

Either they don't know or they're taking a break. People who date in college or HS don't know better, it's safe to stay in your age range/social circles. The other group are serial monogamists that date some lame dude for years so they have a guaranteed activity partner and they're not single - ew gross. They will, without a doubt, bang a bunch of dudes post relationship and it'll never make it to the facebook wall but it will occur. Then they're back to being angels. You're only seeing the end results and not the process.
