I'm having some problems holding frame, especially with my plates, when it comes to hiding a part of my life that I'd rather not share with people.

I've had epilepsy my whole life because of a benign brain tumour. It's been controlled with medication for most of my life but in the past year it came back. After a lot of consideration I decided to get my second brain surgery. At the time I had a LTR of 2 years. Now that I've swallowed the pill it is so clear to me why the next few events took place.

After the surgery I could not lift (I swam with the university team before I started having seizures again), couldn't work and couldn't study for months. Naturally, my beta self couldn't understand why our relationship suddenly went downhill. She had lost all respect for me after seeing me in a position of weakness for so long. She broke up with me and I soon after found closure through TRP teachings.

The problem I'm facing now is concerning this illness and my plates. I still deal with doctors and medication on a regular basis and it is difficult hiding this from my plates. 2 of them have asked me several times about my scar or what the medication next to my bed is for. I usually say something like "it's Viagra so I can stand up straight in the mornings." But there are moments when I get caught up lying to them.

Am I doing the right thing hiding this from them? Does anyone else have experience in this kind of thing?
