Hey.

About twice a year I go through a "depression phase" where I can't be bothered to do fuck. I've gotten better at addressing it and preventing it, but I don't know what starts it. This has been happening to me since high school.

While I'm in that phase, things I would normally love doing (working out, waking up early, scheduling, light socializing) are replaced with sleeping in, being alone, and not really doing anything else.

The only things that seem to excite me or make me happy are playing league of legends, eating toast with butter (my favorite food from childhood), and watching my favorite YouTube's body building videos, and listening to Pokemon raps (favorite game since I was a kid).

I'm in shape physically (need to start doing more cardio and lifting less), I have a girlfriend and frequent sex, have friends, and my basic necessities are being met.

This time, this "thing" I'm going through feels worse as I can barely be assed to go to the gym and would rather prefer playing games instead of having sex. Normally, the gym is the only thing I do before I sleep in when I'm in this slump. Sex used to be something I'd jump at the thought of but now there's more of a "I've done this enough/what's the point" feel to it making my girlfriend feel she's the issue.

On a side note I feel that my girlfriend always being around me is affecting my mental health. We're both studying abroad and we have rooms next to each other and she spends the night in my room. We workout, eat breakfast, go to class, go to dinner, sleep, and study together. While I have nothing against her, it feels like always being around her is tiresome. I always have to be on my "A game" and watch the things I say because lord forbid I tease her like I tease one of my bros she gets upset and takes it personally and literally. She complains that I'm never happy around her. Because of the slump I'm going through and the fact that I have to watch the things I say/girls I look at, I'm already in a position to not be chill and relaxed and her asking me why I'm not happy doesn't help that.

Any idea of what I can do to help get past this?
