Cheers for the feedback lads, this is definitely a case of oneitis.

The main reason why I feel this weird infatuation is because she's never been with anybody at all (including marriage, so most likely gone past the impending wall), and so she shows a high level of innocence/shyness that I've never witnessed in someone of her age. She's also highly introverted, is generally nervous and self-conscious, and because of this I'm finding it too easy to get into her head. This is such a strange dynamic I've never experienced before, and I'm not sure what to do about it at times. Sometimes I do consider sexual escalation but then I'm not gonna cross the line of shitting where I'm eating.

I'll do what you guys have said - start gaming more women outside of work and it should get my mind off it.

Just enjoy interacting with her at work and leave it at that. I got involved with a higher up last year and had to quit when it came unraveled. It’s tantalizing at first but always ends badly. Your relationship will be ruined. Just don’t do it.
