One of my friend brags hes best wingman but jeez hes like best cockblock ever.

Depends on so many factors. Are you able to get through alone? Judging by the post you are probably not, so a wingman could be helpful. If wingman knows how to talk to woman and is not a pussy then yeah, girls are usually in groups when going out and being in one actually helps. Plus you don't get to look like somebody who just goes out alone. Social value.

Depends on how good your wingman is. I went out with a buddy yesterday and all he did was make excuses as to why he couldn’t talk to a woman.

I actually prefer to roll solo, but I'm ok with a good wing, i.e. a non-fucktard who can block for me when needed.
