Is it normal to have these high expectations?

At 17? Sure those expectations are normal. Also you can't die and will be forever young.

Once you are in the real world your expectations get matched against reality, and then you get to do this fun thing we call growing up.

Never go "full adult" as that's boring.. but definitely grow up.

Instead of saying "I want to be a billionaire by age 30" Say "I want an affluent lifestyle by age 30".

The more specific your goals, the more useful they are. Goals without plans are just wishes. Plans without action are just dreams.

Thinking about where you want to be in 10, 20, 30 years is important. Thinking about where you want to be in 5 minutes, 5 days, and 5 weeks is much, much more important. Progress is made one step at a time.

I don't know how realistic that is but I would get more specific. What sort of lifestyle do you want to lead? What sort of friends would you like to have? What does your significant other look like?

Those goals are fun and all, but have much more immediate goals that take you toward these long term goals.

For example, make it your goal to save/invest x amount by this date. Wanting it isn't enough, you need to make all of the intermediate real before you hit the end goal
